My dad finally got tired of cleaning all the needles from this EWP out of his gutters. Now it will find a new life as lumber. We have a photo somewhere of this tree in 1982 when it was 6" diameter and 16' tall. Stump was 34" split a few feet up to two 24". Little nervous cutting this one 10' from his house but a bunch of wedges, cables and an old Ferguson got it down safely.

We use wedges and mostly ropes , be sure to tie in high enough , we use a through bag or bucket truck. We always use the skid steer so you can watch the tree and give the sawyer time to steer it. Good job putting it where you wanted it.

The best time to plant a tree was 40 years ago .. the second best time is now.  Applies to allot of things in life.
