Tried to purchase a Baker edger today like Robert Milton had made. Unfortunately, they are 4 to 6 months out. Does anyone have experience with a manufacturer besides Baker that builds a machine to accurately edge dried lumber? I'm hoping to be able to run my flooring boards and TG ceiling boards for my new home. Using Doug Fir for my floor. I need a machine in the next month or two...maybe someone has another brand that works well or has one laying around?
Thanks
Darrick
Woodmaster Tools (https://woodmastertools.com/) makes planers that you can put saw blades in to rip lumber.
I am very happy with my Riehl edger and use it for both green and KD prep ahead of my 4 head moulder. YH's machine is an absolute beast, but mine gets the job done every time and fast enough that you can keep two men buried running it.
I use a 15hp Woodmizer twin blade edger to edge dry lumber into flooring blanks for the moulder. It does a fine job.
