I've probably burnt 1.75 cords in the shop this winter. I've burnt wood every morning for the last 6 months in the shop. A stove full of wood every day adds up a lot quicker than now and again burning. And that is mostly one load of wood plus maybe 2 sticks or so after that. If I fill it twice it's way too warm. In my old shop I never started burning wood until late November and was done mid April and there was no fire every day either. I'll be burning wood for 2 more months, so I suspect I will burn 2-1/2 cords all winter by the time I'm done. My storage capacity is 3 cords between the shop space and the woodshed outside.

If I remember correctly, my initial stacked whack measured 1/3 cord and so far that is what I have burned.  fire_smiley

I normally have to replenish with a couple of wheelbarrows but so far, not this year.

38° here now. I did have an evening fire earlier, but I don't need any more wood tonight.  ffsmiley

A few days ago this was all the wood left in the basement for the wood stove down there.

We were going through a warm spell and I was hoping to make it with the wood I had in the basement but it turned cold and after three days this was all that was left. So, out to the barn to get another load.

Dry wood is on the right, green wood is on the left.
Filled up the little dump trailer attached to the Cub Cadet and drove around the back of the house to the sliders to the basement.

Now I have enough wood to last a few more days.

I've got a cord left for the house furnace, I'll burn all through April up here. In May, I let the electric furnace kick in after the middle of the Month. Too hot for wood by then, but 60 degrees isn't warm enough.  ffcheesy

I declared "last load of the season" a couple weeks ago during a warm spell. My wife just laughed. I probably average six "last load of the season" every year, this year will be no exception. When the loads get down to this size the end is near....

I've got about five sticks of wood on the back porch and when they're gone I'm done unless we would happen to have a power outage during a cold spell. Hoping to get all my sheds full before hot weather and then I'll be able to admire them all summer. Happiness is a full woodshed especially with a all electric house.

I brought in another load yesterday. The cold rainy weather is with us again. :veryangry:

I brought in 2 extra of my hand cart loads yesterday because they said 3 days of snow, freezing rain, and rain were ahead. I didn't want to shovel my wood shed path again. I just came in from plowing about 8" of snow this morning before the freezing rain part comes.

I didn't bring up any wood today, but I was making trail, rails, and a few bolts of firewood as I make a trail down into some old fir that needs cut. I plan on looping around once I get near the south line and cut the trail on out to the road as there is some thinning out there to do also.

Shoulda taken a picture but I move that last remaining wheelbarrow of firewood back to the woodshed this morning.  I am sure that it has been close to a month since my last flicker so it was past time.  The last two fires were sorta one log flickers that tied out before noon.

I'll bring it back up in October.  ffsmiley
