If you were to be dropped off on a remote island with a LT40 sawmill in your back pack, what spare parts would you carry?

I have been a moderate user of that mill for about 10 years and my only problems so far have been:

-roller guide bearings
-B57 belts
-drum switches
-drive motor belt, behind battery box
-alternator belt
-and just now, ATF refill in blade tensioner, possibly change O'rings

What else would you recommend in a goodie box?

I'd switch to Gilligan's island.  Then I'd get Mary Ann to sweep the saw dust from the boards  and help stack.  8)

Why settle for one?  Mary Ann to help around the mill and Ginger to ....well.... Just be Ginger!   :)

I'm definitely a Mary Ann kind of guy.

Don't take this wrong and start rumors about me but I'd want the professor instead of the two girls. :D

Uh, cancel my trip to visit the WV Sawmillers!

   Sorry but at my age...

Besides, I figure the professor could fabricate an automatic sawdust sweeper to clean the boards and stack the lumber and could air condition the hut and set up hot showers, and cold lemonade, etc.

I would pack a sat-phone and a credit card.

Maryanne is more to my taste. I think I'll refrain from commenting on WV's choice.

Originating from over the pond, I choose R. Crusoe. When Gilligan was running, we didn't have a TV. Not sure Mary Ann could be a tool box item, but with Trump these days, anything is possible .
R. Crusoe might not be that far fetched, the way the economy is turning in this neck of the woods.
Thanks for the other tool box suggestions, now I can send my order to WM.

Nothing was stated putting any limitations on who can come. Bring Maryann, Ginger, and the Professor.

Just give me a 25 year old red head with green eyes and freckels and may be a cold beer :)

if you find your self in a deep hole stop digging
saw logs all day what do you get lots of lumber and a day older
thank you to all the vets

According to Bob Denver (Gilligan), the Professor built a nuclear reactor on the island, but could not patch the hole in the boat.

I'd want McGiver, Mike Rowe, Al Borland, Norm Abrams and the A Team.  And the duck dynasty Robinsons for food and protection.
