Can someone give me a quick lesson in how to adjust the brakes on this TJ? 240A, it has two brakes on the transfer case.

I'm going to say that the park brake is on the front of the transfer case. If it's like the one I'm thinking of it should be an Eaton transfer case. Those aren't bad to adjust, but be careful of having the brakes adjusted too tight as it will generate a lot of heat. On the brake assembly there is a lever which has the brake cylinder underneath it, in the middle of the lever you will see a threaded rod sticking up with a nut and a jamb nut on it. Loosen the jamb nut and screw down the nut underneath to bring the pads closer to the metal surface. I usually use a prybar and put it under the lever and pry it up to gauge how tight I've got it. The less you can move the lever the tighter the brake is. I'm sure there is a more accurate way to do this and someone will correct me if they know, but it works for me ;) and should for you.
