"Clone" 660's working? On the landing Bucking..

These have been used on and off in this service since fall 2017. The 390's are the preferred saw so these 660's have to compete for time. When they stop....they get set off to the side, and the 390's get back to work. Interesting thing is BOTH the 390's needed the intake boots replaced with the "yellow mark" version after their first year. SO NO saws leave this type of work un - scathed. The 385 and 390 have been the "Go To" saws here for everything while the only 660 that made it into "felling" work was my Farmer Jones build which did that for a month or so. None of the other 660's got that far into the work rotation. To heavy and simply the 385/390's worked better for him. Plus early on there where a litany of little issues from stripped bar studs to the soft plastic in the controls making them hard to start. That sort of cast a view of an ever ending set of annoyances. We worked them out by later 2017 for the most part, and the one saw ( Saw #3) survived without ANY issues last year. The other two you can see why they were set off to the side in that last video. After this last week, I feel as if the other two 660's ( Saw #1 & #2) also now have those sub-par parts swapped out...so NOW this next year is to see if the hard parts last long enough to where crush damage vs. mechanical damage ends their time.

Not sure when I will have time for those. A bunch of 372 work in front. And kind of winding down on the 660's as well. Will file a report once in a while. Think OEM junk pile builds will be more the norm as the 268 build. OEM Stihl 441's are up next I think after fire wood operations are done. And a lot of 372 variations. Starting with the X-Torks with the Strato gutted out and the 372's built into xpw's. Those 660 builds like saw #3 are solid enough to step away...after three years. With the short time I did spend with the 361 kit, looks like the same kind of process will be required. Not sure I have it in me.

So the Blue one will either work or not, It might go to another fellow to run until it stops...
