POSTON WIDEHEAD

We saved some Red Oak live edge slabs as narrow as 4 inches.
The walls, corner molding and and other applications turned out pretty nice
on this Outhouse. All the slabs were sawn 3/4 inch think.

This was a little challenging building since each slab fit a different way.
Having a band mill is speeds things up vs. using a skill saw.

I scorched the wood after completion and soaked it 3 times on 50/50 diesel and burnt motor oil.
Remember.....scorch it FIRST then spray with oil.  :)

Purty'st crapper I've ever seen! Burn before the flammable finish you say?? I see no fun in that!

They go from $1000 to $2500.
This one was $1800.
The floor will come out and it will be a well cover.

POSTON,

That looks absolutely fantastic! You are hands down the master of the outhouse. You got me thinking I need to put a few of those together this spring.

Looks great.
If you sprayed it before torching it, it would change your definition of torching, and most likely would not sell well.

Shipping costs would be reduced though.... ;D

It would have a darker, more charcoal color,  too.

I think Poston Widehead should to sponsor a "Outhouse Project" at his place to show us how to fit live edges.  Nice Job

I think I'll give that a go. The blade chatter will work great, it'll blend right in with the bear scratchings.  fudd-smiley
