I'd leave the wood outside and move in.

Is that the only door? might complicate filling the shed.

No, the other end is completely open.

Is that lap siding or clapboards (if that's the correct term)?  How thick did you have to cut the door trim to cover the exposed edges?  Looks good whatever it is.

The siding is 1x8 with a seven inch reveal. So it's both clapboard and lapped. Corner trim is 2".

Is it cut on a taper though?

The 1"x8" are 1" on both sides.
