Ah, so I was remembering it correctly, I thought it was taller.
And having the blade hinge like that is a good idea, is Norse the only one that does that?

Sawmills and Milling / Re: First cuts
Last post by NewYankeeSawmill - Today at 06:03:09 AM
Quote from: barbender on Today at 12:32:50 AM... many people have gotten mills and expect the process (from what I can tell, anyways) to be like driving a car, or operating a lawn mower. I've came to see it as more of a troubleshooting and problem solving excercise as much as anything.

I have yet to have a day of cutting where I didn't need to fiddle with something first! LOL
Fortunately the local suppliers have a decent bolt-bin and grade 8 parts.

Chainsaws / Stihl MS260 rebuild - Meteor P...

Another saw getting worked on! This one was unfortunately straight gassed. In good shape otherwise. Bought a meteor kit for it. Been waiting 17 years to finally buy one of these kits!! Thought I would share some pictures. It has some rough castings and also not the smoothest exhaust port.

That's why we bought the Norse. We had pine an easy 3 feet across, and many was more.
Some winches could barely get a 3 foot log off the ground. We needed more height on the pulley.
That also have the butt plate that can pivot too, if the pins are removed.
