So,  observations Mr. Wenrich?

From here it looks like posting one big photo at a time will be a snap with this method. Multiple pictures needing resizes may have to either me done one at a time, or use the old way.

I just put 2 more pictures on at the same session.  One started at 3.35 Mb and it went down to 42 Kb.  The other one was 3.25 Mb and it went down to 21 Kb.  Maybe it has something to do with the content and how complex the image.

I have crashed Mozilla a couple of times, and I have had a security notice about running the program.

Mozilla is notorious for having a tough time with java.

This is also auto scaling the dimensions of the photo. I took this photo of Lou's dog right from my camera. The new uploader rotated it and scaled it to fit the forum automatically.

I'm COMPUTER chalenged, but game.

Perfect candidate. :)

Actually I'll just post the instructions here for anyone that wants to give it a go now. It may or may not be agreeable to use for you. Thats what I am trying to find out.

I've installed a java uploader on the site to try and create a way to optimize photos for people.  I need you to find a photo to see if it works for you that is bigger then the past limits.

If you go to the gallery, in the left menu you will see a menu item that says Juload. or Java Uloader depending on what page you are one. Give it a try and see if its going to be more confusing then simply doing it the way we have been doing it.

It's working very well now.  I uploaded 3 large pics at once and it handled it well.  Posted them in the weather thread.
