After 15 months was notified 3 Apr mill was in production. On Apr 6 dealer called to come and get it. 4 hours later was called and told not to come as WM had shipped without Debarker, HD blade guides, Seat and Blades. After 2-3 weeks dealer finnally got a Debarker . guess what? Debarker won't work, tripping circuit breaker. Still don't have Mill as of today 9 May 24. Dang, that sucks. I've got one  that's supposed to be here in October and guess I should cross my fingers

I would look at that more as a blessing than a curse. They will get it working properly before turning it over to you. This is much batter than you winding up with a new machine and finding issues then trying to debug yourself over the phone.
If they are popping that breaker while milling a log, tell them to call me and for a small gratuity I will tell them how to fix it. ffcheesy If the breaker is just popping when they try to run the motor, then they have a different issue.
Let them take the time to get it right in their shop where it goes much faster, they have new parts and all the WM resources available. You and your machine are much better off that way.

I wrote a reply but lost it.

OG's last paragraph pretty much sums up what I said.

My first mill had a major hydraulic leak from a bad casting in the valve body.   We found it at the end of the Woodmizer new owner training.  The entire valve body had to be replaced.  That was in 2018 before the supply chain issues.

Granted that delay was only a couple of days but I was glad we found the problem and the dealer took the time to make it right.

That doesn't mean you shouldn't periodically remind them you are waiting.

Well what I didn't tell was on the 7 May again was called to come and get it. Drove a 120 mi. And started training and noticed no chair mounted, no Hd Guides, however Debarker was tripping circuit breaker. Had them order me the Guides and mount the chair returned home without Mill. To ease the pain they gave me a 15 box of blades and will deliver Mill when fixed. Nice folks but need to checkout things closer. The issue here was caused 100% by Wood Mizer's lack of quality control, what happened to " we run every Mill before shipping".

Often orders are filled with sawmills that were ordered and then declined by the buyer after they were built.  In those instances some options are then dealer installed.

That's what happened to me August of 2023.   A mill was ordered and the customer never responded to attempts from the dealer to contact him.

I was next on the list for an LT50.  Fortunately it was just as I ordered.

FWIW, the jury is still out on the high performance guides.  They decrease the cut width a bit and they made blade changes a little more challenging.  Not sure how they improve cutting because I've not cut without them on this mill.

The debarker, on the other hand is a must have.

Never used a ride along seat but understand it's relatively easy to remove and reinstall.  This mill has command control which I really like.

Seems crazy they would not install what was missing at the plan rather than at the dealer who most likely will not have  the parts, as in my case.
Mill sitting at the dealer a month to complete after waiting around 15 months is not good. Oh well life has its ups and downs

I'm speculating (which is never a good thing to do) but I'd bet the plant shipped the mill to the dealer and it was declined there which is why the dealer would end up making the changes and additions. I'd bet if the mill was declined before it left the plant they would install the other options there. I could be wrong - I was once before. (One time I thought I'd made a mistake.  :uhoh: )

I hope they get it debugged and delivered soon.

Yes, even my comment above was speculation and we all know about opinions.

Folks ordering and overloading what was once a viable manufacturing process really screwed up the system.  They were ordering several sawmills with the intent of reselling and making a huge profit.  Now that the bubble has popped, these buyers are refusing/declining their orders and the manufacturer is stuck with trying to locate legitimate buyers that ordered similar equipped sawmills and retrofit whatever options that are necessary.

I think they are a visual aid.  When you screw up and make a band dive they provide visual re-assurance that your band is in fact diving via an impressive spark show.  At least that is my experience.   ffcheesy

Well dealer delivered Mill this afternoon. We set it up, loaded a log and cut 28 1 5/8 x 3 5/8 two by's. Mill cut dead on and everything works as it should. I liked my lt35 HD I had lot but this lT50 is super nice and fast. Must now master the Accuset 2. I am now a happy camper.

SO now I'd like to ask a question: In which directions does your debarker turn? Does it throw chips toward the far end of the bed, or back toward the head end?
Congrats on a happy mill, now the work starts. ffcheesy
