is an 80 year old eccentric, nice guy but eccentric. I had agreed to service his lawn tractor, he was to bring it over when he finished cutting for the season a month ago. He showed up an hour ago dressed in full winter gear, it is -4C here  ::), with a coil of rope over his shoulder and his wife on the tractor. They couldn't climb the last 50' of our drive with the turf tires so instead of asking for help he threw the rope over his shoulder and pulled while she drove, I could have used the Kubota  :D. I better sand this afternoon.

It doesn't occur to folks of that generation to ask for help, when it is possible to get it done without it.
I doubt I even ever make it to 80, much less be draging garden tractors up hills. lol
