That setup looks like it saws pretty well. smiley_thumbsup
Thanks for the video.
That is a slick chainsaw mill setup. Good job on the video too. ;D
I am impressed by how fast it cuts and the board drag back ability. 8)
That is quite a setup. 8)
That's really neat. And quiet. 8)
Have not had time to test much yet, so far it has worked beyond all expectations.
That is really slick.Very nice upgrade!

It takes 27" bar.
But I have the smaller model E5 which is 5000w, there's even a model named E8 which is almost twice as strong.
Teed, that is just plain slick! Is that video spend up at all? If not I'm amazed at how much faster it is over your chainsaw set-up! :o I think fresh cut birch is some of the nicest looking wood around. Nice stuff all around.
I would like to see that in the up coming Bangor show!!!
What is the power need for it?
I would have never guessed a chainsaw mill could cut so fast. Neat!
Very cool!
Really cool. That slab was heading for the sun as you were cutting!! :D

The film is not up speed at all, there is this speed that the saws.
Yes it is sick much faster one what my chainsaw is. But I have gained another saw carriage for my chainsaw as I should have when I saw in places without power. and it has a crank on which I guess makes you get a little better speed with a chain saw. I will soon make a film that compares the saw and the electric saw.

in Sweden and in Europe it describes the effect of the electric motors with watts, not like in the US where you use the HP or Amp. Then we have some other Differences, we have 240volt wall sockets and all the houses have 3 phase standard that is 400 volts.
So the motor on the saw is 5000 watt 400volt 3 phase. But there are similar chainsaws in the US and then I think they are 220 volt 3 phase and 40Amp.
I read on the logosol page that the E5000 is 15hp. So that saw has some grunt.
I like it, much better than the gas powered for sure, power feed is the ticket, thanks for sharing,

Amazing..
Bottom line is that it's pretty cool to be making sawdust for your projects. Nice setup.

Yes it is as good as a really good hand plane, I can stand and just plane o plane for pleasure's sake.
Same thing with saw shavings from my small sawmill 8)
Teed, I'm really impressed. I really like your new equipment!!!
That's slickerNsnot on a door knob (old saying).
Slicker than snot on a hot tin roof...

I have seen a lot of portable sawmill videos from Europe. They just pull in the yard, drop the legs, and run a cord over to the house. :D

Slicker than cow poop on a flat rock!
sam - :D
I've heard cows and flat rocks but it pertains to rain. - Wow, it's raining hard! Sounds like a cow pithing on a flat rock!
Nice. I'll have to use that one too.
Logosol really has some neat equipment, definitely some "outside the box" thinking that they have going on. If i were looking to go production, i think an electrified M8 and a LAKS would be a sweet combo.

Thinking a bit on what the next movie will be about. Is there anyone here who has some ideas? Looking to make a comparison between the electric saw and chainsaw. Or I will make a detailed movie on electric saw?
More on the electric saw please !
Jim /Bruno
I think a comparison between chainsaw and electric saw would be great! In the same width cut. Then maybe some more on the electric showing wider cuts and going through tough knots and showing how flat and smooth it cuts through.
Thanks for taking the time for your videos - I like them.
Thank you for the input. Is in full swing with the planning up more films that I will do in the future. Is there anything else you would think was funny to see around my small sawmills just let me know?
very, very nice! The chainsaw mill equivalent of a Woodmizer. ;) :D
