Title: Linn Sawmill
Post by: Dogwreck on October 09, 2019, 10:04:54 AM
I have been doing lots of research and thinking of building a sawmill from plans. Of all the plans or sawmills I have seen the Linn mill looks to be the best. Sturdy well built and parts and plans available. Anyone have any thoughts on them or can you offer any other mills to look at? I have searched for 3 months or so now, and with cool weather approaching I need a project for the shop this winter. I have experience and knowledge of fab work, so that's not a problem, but, I do want to follow a set of plans to eliminate the trials and errors of designing my own. Anyway any suggestions on plans would be appreciated, but for now I am sold on the Linn Lumber Mill.

I use a set of prints from Texas Ben they are complete down to the cut list. At one time he had them listed on ebay for 10.00 you can find him on you tube.

I built a Linn mill. Definitely not a bad start to a good mill. Where are you located? if your close enough I be more than happy to let you come take a look at it.

The build was alot of fun. The end result even impressed me. The lumber that it turns out is amazing.

See the build in my sigline.

I bought those and looked them over good, but I think I like the Linn Lumber Mill just a tad better. Those plans were awesome though with 3D Imagery and all.
