Has anyone ever built one?  how was the hinge constructed?
Always try it twice, the first time could've been a fluke.

my neighbor has built a couple of them, he used 2" round stock welded between the frame rails, with 1/4" wall pipe sleeves welded to gussets that are then welded to the trailer floor bracing.  works well, just had to put 2 grease zerks per sleeve.
