Hey Guys,

I've got a decent deal on a super-clean & well maintained Poulan 245A.
I'm aware it's an old saw & parts can be scarce, but other than that what are some concerns I should be aware of?
The thought of a 74CC saw in such a small package has got me kinda pumped! 8)
Friend of mine says it lacks anti-vibe and hurts his mitts after about 30 seconds of cutting ::)...will I notice the anti-vibe lack that much?
My previous saws were Stihl 025, 034 & a Poulan 5020.

Thanks,
Reg

That was a tough saw, have fun with it. Is it a hobby saw or are you planning to put it to work?
old age and treachery will always overcome youth and enthusiasm

It might see 1-2 cords a year...if that. ;D

To this day there has not been another 74cc saw built that only weighs 13lbs. Poulan set a bench mark with that saw. Throw on some decent thicker gloves and cut!
