These pics were from back in June when a friend came down from Billings and we slabbed up a bunch of Russian Olive and Box Elder burls.
The first one is easilt the biggest box elder burl that I've sawn and it sure wasn't a disappointment.

I didn't get any decent close up pics of the slabs, but here's a couple of what we netted.

The pile of blades may give an idea of what the root ball of the Russian Olive does to blades. :D I don't think we actually dulled a single blade, we just knock the set out of them on the rocks.
It was sure a great day and I'm hoping to get in a few more like it before winter chases me indoors.

Nice, what do you do with them all?

I mostly sell them as slabs, but there are lots of smaller burls that I cut into various sized blanks for different hobby crafts. I do keep some for my own woodworking, but most of it gets sold. In the winter I make pens, clocks, cribbage boards and will be making a couple tables this year.
