Hi, looking at fitting a Carving Bar to either my Stihl 024 or MS260c
Is this possible, and what would I need?

Thanks,
Keith

Generally speaking nothing is impossible .I would think you would need to find a way to adapt either a 3/8" low profile or possibly a 1/4" chain because that is what most use .I'm not a carver but I was given a few carving bars .I'm  not certain of a .325 chain could make it around  the tight curvature tip or not .If I get a chance today I 'll try it out on an 024 .I do know they will fit up to a 200 T

I just looked it up and indeed they make rims for 3/8" pico in both 7 and 8 tooth for the 024 and 026 .

Oregon makes bars in both quarter and dime tip configurations as well as 1/4" pitch chain.

I tried the quarter tip sized bar I have but it will not fit an 024 .

Thanks for the help guys ..
I think I'm better to buy an ms170 and use that.
I want to use it for morticing posts for post and rail fencing.
