Felling Spikes for MS400

So I posted this on another forum but have not been successful. Hopefully y'all can help out.

I have a Stihl MS 400 and changed the clutch cover over to,the large capacity one for a MS440 as was recommended. I cannot seem to find the correct felling spikes that will line up. The inner spike is approximately 1/8"-3/16" shorter than the outside.

Part numbers I have are:
L cap clutch cover 1122 640 1711
Outer spike 1122 664 0501
Inner spike 1122 664 0506
Roller chain catcher Part# can't locate

Is this just an impossible modification to make work or do I have the wrong spike combination?

If it matters the original clutch cover on the 400 has captive bar nuts and the replacement large capacity cover for the 440 does not, however it fits up just fine and when lined up the two covers seem to be the same length to the front where the dogs mount.

So far I have ordered spikes twice and no luck. What am I missing? Dealer doesn't really get what I am try to accomplish.
