Its that time of year, have any of you tried wood chips around the mill and log storage area.?Sawdust has faults but it seems to me chips would bind the soil and keep the logs clean, and there usally free. Frank C.

Theres only two seasons here Frank winter and mud season. wood chips will beak down in short time, but they will work for a while. Right now I could use about 2,000 yards of soft ball sized rocks.

I put down chips and it worked great till we got about 7" of rain the tractor made a mess of that. Sometimes we just have to wait till mother nature gives us the go ahead.
