I've played around quite a bit with this too.  It beats the heck out of solitaire!
I was wondering how many variables do you real loggers think of on the landing?  or how detailed the grader is at the mill?  I guess there is a bit of an art to bucking and grading!

With the difference in prices for the tree I can see how some automated system for setting bucking points might pay for itself, something like a 3D scanner to model the log and an operator to identify defects...
