These training workshops are a part of the Council's Ash Utilization Options Project, an effort to support local communities and businesses by finding value in trees removed due to the emerald ash borer. These projects are funded by the USDA Forest Service's Wood Education & Resource Center. Additional technical assistance and funding is provided by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources.
We hope that you will be able to join us!
Feel free to call or e-mail me with any questions that you may have.

I see those training sessions are 4 days.
Ken Lallemont is putting a one-day program together near here a week from Sat, for what is termed "Level II" training. (Course fee is $75). It will be interesting to compare the two programs.
Aldo Leopold Chainsaw Level II training (http://www.naturenet.com/alnc/public.html#Workshops)
Noticed the requirement for the participants to bring their own safety equipment. Is there a minimum standard as to what qualifies - for example, what is a minimum for a "ppe boot" ?
Great to see such courses offered.
Sure wish I could go to the game of logging course, I have some more learning to do.
Anyone that goes, fill us in on it will ya?
