Well, you got me  thinking with the hints  and guesses, but this is a pretty funny thread and I am not sure, but is it a clamp for assembling musical insturments : tops and bottoms of guitars, violins or other stringed insturments?

It's a donut holder! Slide it on and clamp it down. Coffee and donuts for fancy folks.

Ya need a whole set of these instrument clamps to glue up a fiddle, git-tar, or bullfrog base.
