Friend Request

I guess that I am a bit confused about the friend function.  What does it do or supposed to do?  I see "0 Buddies", a Friend logged on, and no bold?

Maybe some people think the 'friends' thing is a contest and they are just trying to collect the most.

I also had a request from someone who I don't remember interacting with but, ya, ok, we are all friends here, right ???

The friends thing is just an easy way to be able to find and contact those people that you regularly contact via messages. You can just go to your list, and find them and click on them without going through the entire members list. Its just another way to communicate.  It was part of the modifications to help make the forum more mobile. The tabs make it easier to find stuff on a mobile device.

Use it or not.

BTW  the people that are on, on my list, that are supposed to be, are bold when they are on.

I have one person bold that is logged on.  Buddy = 1.  There are two other "friends" logged on but are not bold.  I refreshed and they are still there but not bold.

You have one person in your friends list. That is the ONLY person that is going to be bold. As I mentioned in a couple places, the friends list is replacing the buddy list. I can't see who is in your buddy list. You need to go find your old buddy's profiles, click on the add friend to add them. Once they approve it, then you will see them.  I sent you a request, and you never approved it. I'm going to go delete the request and send it again. Once you approve it, then you will see me as bold in the list

I think people are inadvertently deleting as they don't understand it. I don't fully understand it. It also could have happened in one of the updates I was needing to make. I've been trying to develop the code to give you a "are you sure you want to screw things up by pushing this button Dummy?" alert when you click a remove button, but no luck getting it right so far.
