Bought a 1970 dodge power wagon near Wenatchee WA. Runs and drives.
Looking for someone to haul it from Washington to anywhere in New England.  I am in vt but can pick it up within a couple hundred miles. . Willing to pay etc

Thanks so much!

Interested in any resources folks have on getting a vehicle hauled cross country, back hauled, freight, I've heard myths of a place where truckers bid on backhauls? etc. Looking at options
Thanks so much

I have driven many trips via UShip for folks looking at moving rigs around.  UShip is a website that puts haulers together with shippers and takes about 20% off the top. A shipper places an add requesting bids, they choose the method of shipping (open transport, closed, flatbed, etc., as well as allowing someone to drive the vehicle.  All costs must be included in the bid so there are no surprises at the end.

If the truck is in good shape, insured, current or temp. tags, this may be a good option as the cost is lower than the usual apx. $1.00 a mile a trucker would charge.

Any questions or if you need additional information give me a shout.

Just be aware that Uship allows non DOT legal people to bid on freight. You may be fine, but if something happens to your truck you may be out of luck going that route. Not saying having DOT #'S and an MC makes anyone better. Just do your homework if you go that route.

I ended up using a haul dispatch out of Albany Ny and got the truck delivered to my hometown for about 80 cents per mile. Thanks to all for the input and advice!

Done it twice.. Genuine full time auto transporters are the most economical means.  Now that a dually can pull like 5 or 7 cars there is a ton of competition and prices are as low now as they ever were.
