Hello dear friends! Happy New Year 2025!
The best at work! I haven't attended your forest forum for a long time, I've been doing a lot of work on the construction of drying chambers, creating drying schedules, and doing control drying. After drying to 6%, I did heat treatment of the wood.
I was constantly changing the design of the drying chamber, making more and more gates on how to remove steam from the chamber so that part of the steam was constantly in the chamber. Little steam is bad, cracks, warping, a lot of steam, low temperature, mold, fungus, and blueness are also bad.
I removed the fans from the chamber, removed the humidification system, the wet dry thermometer, and left only the wood moisture sensors. I have several cameras that have rotted out of ordinary metal, and I started making only stainless metal. I wanted to give up this idea many times, and I realized step by step that something was going to work out. First, I dried and thermo-dried coniferous trees, then birch, alder, aspen, and began to make a drying schedule for logs and whole, non-glued beams. After that, I got to ash, elm, maple, hornbeam, oak.Now I can show you my work, hear your feedback, opinions, and questions. Best regards, Sergey.
