I saw this short article in the news this morning and found it interesting enough to want to share it with y'all.  To me, it seems like a very worthwhile project and I hope it is successful.  I remember Tom telling me about the old growth cypress trees that had trunk diameters large enough to fill a bedroom. So big the loggers in the 1860s left the trunks in the swamps and were only able to take the tops out. He told me he was sawing a large cypress limb once that was over 600 years old......

Thanks for posting this. One of the things on my to do list is to stop by their labs on one of my next trips downstate ta see my son. Their facility is actually very close to Ron Scott in Cadilac.
