@ 280lbs apiece I would think they could be used for rail car wheels?

At 2 and 9/16" width, I'd think you'd have trouble using them for band wheels if that's your plan. :)

Width shouldn't be a problem. Just take them to a machine shop and get the outside milled down a little. You would need a heavy duty up and down with all that wieght.   Steve

Well the inside is 15/16", guess I'll have to measure mine.

Says the belt groove is 52mm wide.  That is nearly 2 inches inside the groove.  If you have it machined, I imagine the wheels would be nearly 2.5 inches wide.

but you you need some wheel weights for your tractor!  280# for $40!
