My friend that takes down old abandoned houses recently was asked to remove a big maple on the property he was working. This maple is around 40in on the small end. It is way too big for my LT35 so I am going to get out my new MS880 Chainsaw Mill and give it a go. It is only about six feet long so this will be a great first run I think with the mill. I will be using the Granberg mill and I also got the new ladder they design for the mill. I will post a new thread next week after I get this log opened up.
Any thoughts on what kind of Maple this might be?

I also made a short video showing the trimming of the bigger limbs and unloading of the Timber.
