On a swingblade mill, quartersawing is straightforward and simple, there aren't many choices of how to cut the qs boards because once set up , the log never moves again.

Does anyone have an idea of what a reasonable price on a Norwood Lumbermate 2000 would be? No idea on hours but from the pictures it looks like it's seen some use. 20 hp with an extension. Any experience trying to find parts for this mill, now that it's discontinued? One recently came up for sale in my area and I was hoping to have a little more background on these mills before I talked to the seller about it. Read More

Does anyone know how much a case 850b loader will lift with forks? I have some 10K pound logs That I need to load on to a sawmill deck about two feet high.
