Yeah Ray, looks looks quite a few big company's will be there.  Going to be a lot of awesome machine demonstrating.   I'm going with a plan to evaluate and look over some firewood equipment but not writing any serious checks.   I always say that.     Lord, please don't let me tow a processor home.   Mrs. Lapp would lose her mind.

Just wanted to give this a bit of a bump and see if anybody else is going.

Well, I did drive over into Ohio last Saturday and attended this firewood expo.  It turned out to be 45 miles from my place.  I had a great time.  I watched some awesome processors in action, look all the splitters over and ran three of them. Checked out the conveyors and  wrappers and bagger's, oh my. And I learned quite a bit. Not only for what I may want, but what I'm now sure I do not want. I met some nice people, watched several aahh, content creators as barbenders taught  me they are called make their videos and Ive been informed that I show up in three of those videos so far.  I saw one of them and said hey that's me. 
I had a great burger for lunch, saw some folks from my area Ive known 30 years and Ill go back next year for sure if they have it.    But like I said, I really learned what is NOT worth the money to me, and what looks like a better fit for the volume, time and cash I have.

 It is always a real challenge matching the available equipment in the market, to your available capital and potential selling market. I watched processors and splitters for years, there wasn't anything that really checked all the boxes for me. I just kept plugging away with an MTD splitter, periodically renting a processor to get split wood stocked up. I finally found a processor that fit my operation to purchase. The only reason it did fit, is because I watched and watched for the right deal. If I would've had to pay full price on a new machine, I'd still be waiting🤷

 Those content creators...their real product is the videos (the content) that they are making. And I'll give credit where it is due- some of them are pretty darn good at it. I found quickly that I don't have the patience or interest in staging cameras and doing things in a way to make good videos. I can see it turning a one hour job into an all day thing. 

 YH is making great videos and actually knows what the heck he's talking about. A very rare combo.

 You guys have better logging/firewood shows out that way, I'm kinda jealous😊

Yeah BB Ive been to a few really great expos out in Ohio over the years. And one in NY that was good as well.  
Those youtube guys are really serious about making their videos.  A couple had crews with sound mikes and cameras following them around. One had a guy that seemed almost like he was directing.  At one point I counted three drones in the air at one time  from people filming.    I got a kick out of it.

 Honestly, that would irritate the heck out of me if I was at a show. I'm not even sure why. 

 I mean, if the local TV station showed up to do a piece at the firewood expo, I think we'd all be happy for the coverage and would make way for the filming crew to do their work. But if I was asked to move out of the way for a content creator, I'd not be happy about it.

 I think it has to do with the fact that the TV crew is made up of individuals that are trained for the job, and earned their place so to speak. Where it's kind of a free for all with the content creators.

 I listen to a lot of podcasts, and one I listen to the host said something to the effect of, "the responsibility of the intellectual is to put into words the things that people know but don't know how to say." I need an intellectual to help me figure out what exactly it is about content creators that drives me up the wall😬😁
