Small white oaks
« on: May 28, 2019, 10:01:45 AM »
Hello all,
Yesterday evening I transplanted some very small oak seedlings (2 inches the most tall) and today I noticed the leaves got wilted (not dry, just droopy). Anyone ever have this happen, and if yes, did your trees survive? Thanks in advance.

I'd seriously consider protecting them from deer if you have any of the 4 legged locusts in your area.

I planted 50 White Oak seedlings in my 20 some acres of woods.
Planted some in the middle of briar patches and the deer still find and get them.

Deer in my area love White Oak. They will pass up cedar for white oak.
