Cable style throttle cables

Throttle cable broke on my portable sawmill.....do you fellows order the high cost replacements from the dealer......or is there another avenue that I can pursue . I do know a lot of you folk improvise when you can. Thanks

There a number of aftermarket companies that supply cables. Your local lawnmower shop should have a catalogue of inexpensive replacements that you can cut to length.

Also you can buy just the wire if desired and buy or make a z bend tool to put the appropriate end on the wire. I never started out thinking I would end up replacing or making as many as I have. So maybe a small engine repair shop can give you another option than just an oem or universal replacement.

My baker runs a cable and at 9 yrs old is has been changed.

I am thinking a electrical pull in is the next move, I will not replace the cable.
