Log R square. ;D :D




Picked up this pecan log a couple of days ago. Kinda hard to figger the dbh, but it's 31" on each side. :D

DanG,
   That's the way them logs should all grow.  Then when you put them on the mill they would lay flat on the bunks.

Well  we sure would be able to Mill them being square allot easier, But I don't think they will roll very easy  :D :D :D ;D

I think that's the first square log I ever saw . Good picture  8)

Had similar thing with macrocarpa cypress  logs...
It's good with a swingmill, sits on the bunks nice and straight and once you skim an inch off the top you are into good boards  :)
All trees should grow that way  ;D
