I am looking to buy tracks for our Gehl 4835SXT skidsteer. There are a lot of them out there steel and rubber. Which ones are best for logging? I assume a cleated track would be best but which brand to go with. Anyone out there have any experience with tracked skidsteers.

I had a Bobcat 743B and I tried a set of Grouser brand tracks. They worked great but in the winter, they would accumulate so much snow (which then turned to ice) that they squeezed the tires and began to hit the frame. I then bougt a set of tracks on EBAY that are steel cleats linked with chains. They worked great. Not only in the dirt and in the woods dragging logs, but they were fantastic in the snow for plowing. Unfortunately, after one season, I changed to a New Holland and they won't fit without wheel spacers which they don't sell. After researching, if you want to buy a set of this design, I'll make you a good deal.
