Well, all the time I run into good vidjas on youtube, and I think it'd be cool to have a spot to put them, so that we can share videos we thought were good, and on a day when it's -40°F outside and we're inside feeding the woodstove, we can waste alot of time on the interweb...or whatever floats your goat.
I'll start, this guy has some very interesting videos:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y_lHOpqwDI4
For years I have been going to these two url's. Someone tries to
post the best videos of the week off the web.

That Boltr guy sound exactly like a guy named Ave on the Utube. Love Ave's vidyas.
Ol' Bud Merz would have hated me if I lived near him cause I woulda never left the place!
Me too! I'm watching one right now:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QhpOg186fks (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QhpOg186fks)
Maybe he sounds like AvE because he is lol
I think that the powermodz guy forum member Ishobie (sp?) sounds like AvE. He put a vidja up on his thread in the sawmill forum new guy with some land skidder sawmill... and he was talking over it I thought he was AvE
I love the stuff AvE says..."give her a proper what for with a beefy thumb detector" lol lol lol
I guess I may live a sheltered life and all that but some of my favorite youtube vids are along these lines.

Ouch, that is wild! Where is Tammy Brokaw when we need her?? ???

I think this is one of the best on utube.

https://youtu.be/QnTr9EJdpQ4
This guy has a great channel.
I very seldom read the comments on a video on youtube, but I caught 1 about the figure 8 racing.
''I think it should be against the rules to slow down at the intersection.''
I bet there isnt any texting and driving going on there!
PC
PC we USED to have bus races at our county fair, not figure 8 but on our little 3/8 mile dirt track, I helped build one for my buddy. I was scared, and we used to race stock cars there every week. My farm fuel guy had one and got rolled, if he doesn't thank God every morning he wakes up that he was tied down to the cab and not the chassis he should because when they come apart they REALLY come apart. We honestly thought he got torn in two, after two fairs (I think) they quit, my buddy sold it to some guy that turned it into a camper and everyone else turned them into RV's for hauling around wedding parties and such, a much safer use for them! It was fun building it but we got it there and there happened to be a guy in the pits with the tools and know how to get rid of the governor and turn the pump up on ours, that's when it got scary.

Yutt ok I've seen this and dreamed about it a couple two three times lol. Clay Hedrick posted this he's a sales rep/other stuff guy at Baker. Adam or Jeff told me that this vidjayo is taken place at Baker's production facility. See Baker tests their equipment and uses it to make money also. Gotta love it!

See 4x4 all it takes is money to cut faster. :D :D :D :D :D

Dug, that thing does boogie! And just when I was thoroughly impressed, they threw in a few double cuts, just for the heck of it, it seems!

Neat stuff. Shows a few gotchas on working with big live edge pieces. Still worthwhile even if your not a cnc person. Has many other projects without cnc but the channel does show different things you can do with one.

That mebor company looks to have some of the most impressive new technology I've seen. Hopefully they come to America with a dealer support network I think they'd do real well.
Fort Ann: doesn't that new sawmill have heat? And, did I see a guy turning a log with a WOOD handled cant hook ! Must have been a long time ago.

That's really interesting, can you share more of that with us? I did not get what the other guy was doing at first until about the second or third cut. Do you sell a lot of those? Thanks

Some of you might have seen this one, but I enjoyed it. I learned a little about clapboards, too. If there's a bad part to this video, it's that now I have to work harder to get up there to visit-Edit, he only thing missing from this video is a stationary engine and a blacksmith!

I see a few problems with it, Maybe they will work them out, Wonder why they did not use the debarker on that log.
The hydraulics are too slow thats for sure my 70super would smoke that thing when it comes to log handling but looks like it can feed pretty good.

3000 bdft / 8 hr shift wood mizer LT40 G25HD - YouTube (https://youtu.be/cCb1egzJlcA)
Thanks, Dug, I see the kicker on the outfeed side of the edger. But I think a pan will work better, I like the green chain and kicker for the slabs.
Overall a nice up, Kinda what I'm trying to do.
A green chain will hold a lot of lumber. I think I can fit a 16' to 20' one.
Today I will be setting up on the other side of my 30'x40' shed.
Talk to you later.

I visited Kings Landing over 40 years ago. It was truly a fantastic experience. I spent a good part of the day at the mill taking with the Sawyer and Miller. As a result he gave me a personal tour through the entire building. The experience was one I still remember and was the start of a long journey that I hope to complete in the near future and become a sawyer myself.

At 53 minutes in you can see the blue spraypaint on the end of a white oak timber thats how I mark my logs. I had run out of black locust log and I had one 16' beautiful white oak log that ended up making just enough to finish the order.
