Title: Taxidermy Art......dipping the skull. NEW PICS.
Post by: POSTON WIDEHEAD on August 26, 2013, 05:49:50 PM
Here's a pic of Possum skull my buddy the Taxidermist did a few weeks ago. I have not seen how its done and he gave my son this skull. He dips skulls in different "liquids" and gets different hunting patterns.

I have seen this online before but this is the first time in person. I'll be taking a skull with Antlers over tomorrow to be dipped. I'll post pics when I get it back.

I made this European mount in 2011. Easy and cheap!

A friend had an alligator scull done that way. Pretty cool. It is the same process that is used to put camo on guns, bows, ect,...

I just went and picked up my 6 point skull I had dipped.
Turned out pretty good.

That sure turned out well. I was expecting to see something like the possom skull. The Realtree pattern is awesome.

Must be a six-pointed eight point buck.  They are rare.
