Here's a pic of Possum skull my buddy the Taxidermist did a few weeks ago. I have not seen how its done and he gave my son this skull. He dips skulls in different "liquids" and gets different hunting patterns.
I have seen this online before but this is the first time in person. I'll be taking a skull with Antlers over tomorrow to be dipped. I'll post pics when I get it back.

I bet your son like that. ;D I have never seen that before or heard of it. Guess I need to get off the hill more. :D
That possum skull looks sinister painted up like that. smiley_devil
Looking forward to see what he does with antlers. arteest-smiley
A friend had an alligator scull done that way. Pretty cool. It is the same process that is used to put camo on guns, bows, ect,...
I just went and picked up my 6 point skull I had dipped.
Turned out pretty good.

That sure turned out well. I was expecting to see something like the possom skull. The Realtree pattern is awesome.
What about Paul's buck?
Must be a six-pointed eight point buck. They are rare.
That's what I suspected. :) :) :)
The old guys I hunt with say anything you can hang a ring on is a point.
course the DNR says it has to be 1" .
