Hi!
I was wondering if someone has some suggestion on the best place to by a Husky chainsaw in the US over the net and ship it internationally? I have realised that the prices on Husky chainsaws in USA is much lower than in Sweden where I live. For example, I saw at http://www.southwestfastener.net that a Husky 357XPG costs about $540. Then the shipping to Sweden cost about $200. Totally it would cost $740. This is still much cheaper than the $1300 the 357XPG costs in Sweden at my local dealer so I am seriously yhinking of buying a saw over the net and have it shipped to Sweden. My problem is that I don't know any "good" company to buy from over the  Internet from the USA. I would like some suggestions from someone on where to buy so I don't take to much risk when sending money to some company I have never heard of before. Has anyone here bought from e.g. http://www.southwestfastener.net? Do you feel they are trustworthy to buy from? Do they deliver on time? Is it a big company? Are there any other suggestions on where to buy from, perhaps with better prices?

Thanks in advance

Mats

Hi, Mats.  I've never dealth with SW Fastener, but I've heard a lot of good things about them.  I think they recently moved some computer equipment so they might have a backlog; be sure to ask them if you order from them.  You might also want to try Baileys, a sponsor here on this site.

I've see similar questions from the fellows down under in Aus & NZ.  The snag they run into are the taxes they have to pay on bringing in new saws.  Also the delays & problems they run into if some falsifies a customs form trying to avoid taxes!

There's a fellow from Sweden who posts on another site; he'd probably be able answer at least some your questions.

Best of luck, & let us know how you make out.

I would suggest Bailey's:  http://www.baileys-online.com/index.htm

A large well-established company with a good reputation.

You can also try

www.alamia.com

Their prices normally include bar, chain and free shipping within the USA.

Sometimes a gift or two on top of it.

Perhaps they can cover part of the $200.00 shipping costs for you.

I have bought my two Husky 365 saws from www.northerntools.com. They have probably over 100 retail stores in the USA too. I do not know if they do international, besides Canada.

When northern toolhttps://forestryforum.com/board/index.php?action=position"> Note:Please read the Forestry Forum's postion on this company sent me the wrong chain for one Husky, they just told me to keep it, and they sent out another one. When I needed a part for my winch that was out of stock and in warranty, they gave me full credit for the winch (a year old) and allowed me to upgrade to a Warn. I have been buying stuff from them for years covering just about everything they sell in their catalog and highly recommend them.

I probably buy from Bailey's six times a year now and I would not hesitate to buy a saw from them.

I can recommend Bailey's.  I've never dealt with any of the other places, and Bailey's is top notch in ever way, shape and form.

I bought my 3120XP through eBay 2 years ago from a chain saw dealer from Canada.  I saved about $250 from what I could buy in the US even after paying the shipping costs.  The money conversion rate was favorable at the time which was the major reason for most of the savings.

I would go through baileys they are a great company and I have all my bars and spare parts come through them. I would also try madsens online they are also a great company I ahve donwe business with them before and they do a good job to try to keep their people happy. Just my to cents keep us informed on your saw purchase.
