Hi all, I have a 2 1/2 foot eastern white pine that I planted in June. It was originally potted. I just noticed that some needles have a little yellow color to them. Mainly just the top and side outer needles. Is this sound like a disease, or could it be just sun scorch? Many thanks!!

The youngest needles are the most important, if they look healthy the tree will likely do well.  Pine trees do shed some needles in the fall and normally they turn yellow first.  Good luck, I've milled a pine tree my father and I planted.
There might be a little dust on the butt log, but don't let if fool ya bout what's inside
