Joe, looks like your going a bang up job on the mill. Glad it has worked out well for you. The set backs were just a learning curve.  :D
I do have a question. In one of the pics it looks like the tire is off the rim. Is this the way the tires are ran or is it the photo?

I am pretty sure the picture you are talking about shows a half rim welded onto a full rim.  I used the groove as a v-belt pulley when building the mill.  It as also meant to be a spacer to weld on an actual pulley if the belt didn't want to ride on the tire like I have it set up now.
