I'm a pistol hunter. I've used 44's and a 41 mag for over 30 years.
I'm looking at the 460's. I'ved fired the 8 3/8" barrel at 100yds.
I prefer a gun out of the preformance center, don't like any current models.
I could send a stock 8 3/8 for Smith's outdoor package for about $200.
Total would be about $1200 for nib, plus TAX, Reg.

I've seen a short barrel 7 1/2",limited edition, that I like the looks of.
Used for about $1200, I'm not much for buying used.
Has anyone shot the short one to compare recoil?

Any input would be helpful.
Thanks,
Dutchman

dont be afraid of used. you seem like a very knowledgable person about pistols. you know what to look for when buying already, used  just means on sale alot of times.
a person would have to really mistreat a firearm to harm its shootability.

we bought a gold cup once that had the last inch or so of the barrel pitted from standing on its nose in a pistol rug ....in a boat....that had water in it. looked like crap but it still shoots better than a couple of my other good guns.
