Quick update - so far I've been without incidents! I have three sides covered in OSB and housewrap. I have a question, though...

I'm going to be moving these to the gable side of the barn. It's a gambrel roof, and I need to pump above the eaves. However... I have the poles attached to the roof right above the eaves. Is it safe to pump above the brackets? It would seem to me that you always need to be below the brackets, but any advice would be appreciated. I hope to close in the front this weekend and hibernate for the rest of the winter :D

I have a position I can tie into the frame, such that the lags for the brackets have full thickness of wood to bite into, but they'll be below the pump jack pumps. Once I get above the eaves I can attach back to the roof, but there will be about 5-8 feet of empty space between the bracket and pump.

Thanks!

John
