So i have a question about different style shanks .  Will f style work on a B style blade

Nope. Two different animals. Shank style = blade style.

Why can you buy a b\f style bit

That is not a b or an f,  no specially designed shank to fit either from my understanding. A Hybrid? I'm still not positive that applies to the shanks though, but to the bits.

The B and F shanks are not interchangeable but they use the same bits. Frank C.
