Identifying reclaimed wood

 Looking for help identifying this wood. I removed it for the high school I went to. It is the bleachers from the swimming pool.  I believe it was installed in the late 40's or early 50's. It is very hard and heavy. I think maybe a type of ash? Thanks.

It could be ash, although it looks like elm as well.

I did the same thing, I was zooming in on that end grain for all this old computer was worth. I'm sure some Auburn fans will be along shortly.
