I would like to know how loggers from other places go about arriving at a price to sell high quality logs that are good for building?  There are different sizes, but around here the ideal for house building is around 40' with a 10" top.  Cabin size might be 20 to 30' with a 7 or 8" top.

I've been looking at the rcfc site for a few years.  I came across it while working on local forest management plan.  Government forestry manager had been telling the group about his vision for a large sort yard facility.  He said no one had ever done that before.  Amazing.  Where do they find these guys.  Anyway, I did a quick search and came up with revelstoke and several others to show him.  It is a good source of comparison, but hard to compare with my scale of operation.
