Hell all I have a chance to get some black poplar sawlogs at a good price, and I want to make some T&G for my ceiling in cabin. Is this a good wood to use? I heard that it dry rots? I know white poplar would work good buy I like the colors of black. Can someone point me in the right direction.
Thanks

Just about any wood will be okay indoors. The term "dryrot" is a misnomer because rot doesn't happen without moisture.

If the wood is satisfactorily dry when you put it up, it will be fine...unless your roof leaks.   :D
