Got a call from somebody looking to have several 12' x 4-5' oak logs cut into 2 1/2 to 3 inch natural edge slabs. I don't do business outside of Connecticut. Referrals welcome.

Try Forest Products in Greenfield,Ma. 1-413-772-6833 They were talking about getting a slabber last time I talked to Wood chuck 55.

No slabber yet there. They have two bandsaws a Timber Harvester and a Turner. They do kiln drying (dehumidification kiln) and are open to people calling in to ask about kiln drying even small quantities. Sounds like a good phone number to pass on to portable sawmill customers.

I'm in South Deerfield, just off I-91, and don't mind driving out to eastern MA. I have an 84" Granberg mill, just milled up a 60" maple in West Hartford actually. If you want to PM me their info, I'll get a hold of them right away.

And Forest Products is good for smaller orders, I've also sent people to Lashway in Williamsburg (wait time can be a bit much though) and work a lot with Tony Mason in Whately (3000 bdft minimum, but a great guy and can mill flooring).
