I know it's not a glitch, but I noticed a couple links from Google and Yahoo being displayed toward the end of each page load. I guess that's how those search engines do their indexing?

http://www.google.analytic.com   was one I caught in a glimpse.

Google analytics is a code I have plugged in to record traffic stats and patterns for the Forestry Forum. Basically a glorified hit counter.

Speaking of Google, this morning I am using a new browser that I am growing fond of. It minimal and fast.  Google Chrome. Yep, Google now has a web browser.

One feature I like, that helps clean up the browser window, is that the address bar is also the search bar.

You need to be specific with what the warning messages said if I can figure out if its forum generated or not. Warning messages are part of the database. They are exact phrases generated and returned when certain conditions are or are not met.

I'm STILL having to copy, refresh, paste, sometimes. I am now holding down the post button for 5 seconds before releasing it. MOST times, it will send. PM's are as bad, or worse ???

I recently upgraded to Firefox's newest version, and deleted ALL Adobe flash files, then reloaded and installed. Now, I can see video links and active screen stuff, on the screen. It DID help stabilize the AVG anti-virus program, also.

I've about given up asking for help on the FF, anymore ???

Trying to fix a computer that you can't sit in front of is like trying to put a puzzle together without the picture. It is possible to do either, but the difficulty level is much harder.

I'm surprised Google waited so long for a browser to be honest. But, I'll bet it's a "thumb to the nose" directed at MS for attempting a take over.  ;D :D 8)

Hey Jeff, just a heads up...  there are some security things to be aware of with the current version of Chrome:

I never use a browser to remember passwords but for those who do, this is one of the reasons it can be bad.

As I told you before, your machine was infected with probably more than one virus/trojan/worm.  The symptoms you described to us lead me to believe that it had actually been compromised as a result of the infection(s).  I had recommended you backup, format, and reinstall the system (fully patching it and all apps in the process).

That being said, last I knew, you had opted not to do this, instead trying to clean it enough just to make it work again.  It is my opinion that no one here can help you with this system until you've taken the above steps.
