have small 36 in mill. will 070 pull 8 tooth sprocket, or do i need a 7
cs8000, 702evl, 365sp, 32 ton splitter 350husk, cs6700

 For milling I'd go with a 7 pin, more torque. Make sure its tuned a little rich.  Steve

I have found the higher RPM's to be better for chainsaw milling.  I know everyone says torque, use those older high torque saws, etc.  But I have found the higher the chain speed the better, much better.

thanks guys. looks like this saw dependent. guess ill mill a couple boards with each gear and see which is quicker and feels smoothest
