I have been wanting to add this to my mill for some time and finally pulled the trigger. Placed the order on 6/26 and I was surprised today when it was delivered. Only 12 days from Lithuania so not too bad.
I'm not sure when I will get it installed because I have some sawing jobs coming up.

That's awesome! I've been drooling over one of those for a while myself. Unfortunately, I don't see one in my immediate future. I know you're going to enjoy it.

Thanks for the encouraging words. I'm looking forward to using it. I hope that the learning curve isn't too long.

Congrats!!  I have mentioned several times on here that if/when my non-supported SetWorks ever dies, I will be looking strongly at the Mikron.

Congrats on the upgrade. My wait time in customs if I remember correctly was about 3-4 days. My biggest issue with shipping is the local terminals have crack heads or something that load out the delivery trucks because almost everything I get is damaged and I have to file a complaint or send it back. I had one guy that kept lying about me to his supervisor but what he did not know was that you can't get on my property without being on camera. Finally the supervisor paid me a visit and got to watch some vids of his driver. Funny thing was he didn't show up the day his boss wanted to ride out to my place with him and I never saw that driver ever again.

Sorry, I have not installed it yet. I plan to install it this winter along with a number of other upgrades that are on my list. Winters are long here so its a good time to work on the mill.
Yes, been doing some fishing with not so great results but that's ok. Even a bad day fishing is better than a lot of things.

Finally started installing the Mikron Pro.
I plan to add a cover on the feedback transducer to protect it from the weather. The cable exits out of the top of it so its just asking for water to enter.

Shouldn't the transducer be mounted on top with the cable coming out of the bottom.  Steve

Yes. That's the way I  have it. The mechanical cable is out the bottom. It's the electrical cable that is on top.

Ya it's a shame they didn't put that wire out the side or bottom, I have to make a cover for mine also. I also have mine all hooked up, it works great, but I have the saw head in the garage for the winter, so have not been able to actually test it on a log. It seems to be pretty accurate, and sure beats cranking the head up and down! 33 below zero Tuesday morning so not in a hurry to take it back outside

I wanted to thank Roman at Mikron for his patience with me and his help setting up my setworks.

Although I have not used it while cutting yet, at this point, I would not hesitate recommending their product.

I'm confident that using it will help increase my quality as well as increase my output.

Finally had a chance to use the mill with the new setworks installed.
I works great.
Still learning some of the keystrokes but I  can tell already it's really going to help me increase output as well as accuracy.

That's awesome.  How many hours do you have in it setting up?

I would say it took me about 4 hrs. That included fabbing  the mounting brackets and a cover for the transducer.

Lynn,
I knew you were listening.  That is good news for sure, just 4 hours.  That means MagicMan can do it in 1 hour. smiley_smug01
